Macintosh to Frontpage (unknown)

I have a friend who has run into a slight glitch,. If anyone can solve it, it's you guys <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

<hr>I have Microsoft FrontPage, and when I imported my main site, (which was done on a MacIntosh - probably no big deal) and did my practice publishing on my .org site, all the buttons/links had been changed from an http location to a file location within my computer. I went through the whole site and cut/pasted the http address back into the document, but do you know of any reason why it might convert the internal links (it left links to outside sites alone) to a file location? And, do you know of any way to reconvert them without having to manually go into every html page and rechanging them?

It sounds like the host site does not have the FP Server Extensions installed and/or the files were simply uploaded rather than being 'published' during which process FP converts the 'local' file locations to web addresses.

An update:

<hr>It seems that when I called the .com host company and requested the FrontPage extensions be added, it solved the problem of the changed link addresses. I imported it again into another file to see, and it didn't change them. So, that part of the problem was unknowingly solved before I asked it. However, the answer from the lounge helped a lot. I would still be wondering what happened the first time, and I hate mysteries that I can't solve.<hr>
