Remove email headers from a Word Document (Word 2002)

    Hi,

I have a document that was emailed using the Mail as Attachment option. This document shows the email header information (email buttons, Send field, To field and CC field.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the email header information.

    Thanks

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

Click the E-mail button in the standard toolbar. See screenshot.

A recent thread investigated this problem.

Perhaps this might work for you too. Can you see whether the file stops displaying the toolbar after saving as RTF and then re-opening the file.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I first had to add the Email button to my standard toolbar. Then, when I added it, it was greyed out (perhaps because I use a different mail system other than Outlook, Groupwise).

    Thanks again

    Hi,

I looked at the thread and have tried all of the suggestions, including saving as an RTF file. Unfortunately, the email header continues to appear at the top of the document.

    Thanks for your help.
