    Creating Notes By Category and Color (Outlook 2003)

    I use the notes feature a lot. I have all my notes sorted by category and color. Is there a way so that when I create a new note it is automatically formatted to a certain category and color? It would save time if I could create notes that way rather than having to create the note and then change the color and then add a category.

    Assuming you have a map of category to color, you could automatically categorize according to selected color, or vice versa, or you could develop a VBA form that permits you to select both at once. But what is the basis of the category assignment; how is the code going to know which category to assign the note to? Microsoft doesn't have mind reading software (yet) <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>.
