my computer crashed i have it up and running now but when i get on the internet i can click on things and move around but i cannot type in anything ...
i was told to fix it i had to upgrade again to 6 from explorer 5...
i tried to reinstall it and it came up that it already was on but i reinstalled it ....it still will not run ..
i went to windows update to scan my computer but it says that it has stuff that did not finish installing and will not continue my scan...
help....

Could we have a bit more information please? Which OS was it? What happened when it crashed, and what did you do to sort it out? What error messages are you actually getting?

my computer would start up and then say there was an error and it was shutting down and restarting and it would just keep doing it over and over ...
then i had that fixed and when i got it back it had the orginal settings and i ran updates..
but when i get on the internet i can click on links and move around but i cannot type anything in any boxes...i was told i couldnt use a site i order from because i was running explorer 5 and i needed to update to 6 ...(window xp) and i have to go around about way to it because i cant type anything but i downloaded like i am wanting EI6 then it says that it already exists but is missing some data do i want to download missing info and i said yes then restarted my computer and tried to run updates for windows and it could not scan my computer because it had not finished installing programs and it just keeps going round and round ..i have tried to reinstall it completely and from where it had finished and neither works

Windows XP ships with IE6. If you have IE5, you have either Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000 or Windows 95. Which Operating System are you running?
Also, who "fixed" your computer? it sounds like they did not finish the job. Can you not take it back to them so that they can finish properly what they were doing?

Sounds like a real mess. Can you download and install a complete version of IE6? Don't try to do an update over the Internet, you want the entire program installed from your computer.
