    Greetings

after installing IE6 and OE6, I have experienced several new problems.

    1. The From line or the Subject line is often left blank for my incoming messages even though in the preview pane there is clearly information that should be there.

    2. Mesages that use to arrive in a more "graphic" look are now arriving plain vanilla with a lot of garbled "code".

    3. Several problems with IE and I have posted there as well

    Any ideas?

    it's a known issue with IE6.

    Re: Greetings

Thank you for turning me on to the link that explained the problem. I've read the posts where most people are doing well with v6 of IE and OE. But my experience was not good.

I unistalled IE6 and along with it went OE. Reinstalled IE 5.5 but that made OE totally unoperational. Had to get my original Win98 cd and reinstall OE.

All appears okay now. Don't really know why the upgrade caused me problems - I normally try to keep everything I run updated to the latest and the greatest - perhaps this is one of those times that the latest isn't the greatest!?

... but even gamma and subsequent phases bring no guarantees.
