Totals on Filtered columns (Excel 2000)

    Hi,

Does anybody know if it is possible to have a total on a column which only reflects filtered values, also is it possible to have a filter on a single column.

    Regards

    Mike

Yes you could sue a Subtotal function instead of a sum function

    1) Subtotal was mentioned and to expand on that, you can get the AVERAGE, COUNT, COUNTA, MAX, MIN, PRODUCT, STDEV, STDEVP, SUM, VAR, and VARP of the filtered data using the SUBTOTAL function

2)Highlight just the one column before you select data -filter - autofilter

You can remove selected ones in the entire list via Coding with some of Debra Dagliesh's ecamples in Excel Filters -- AutoFilter Programming
