    CD Drive

    Please help.
Windows can't read some files from my CD Drive. not reading .exe files is a real pain!
On the system properties, I can see "Drive D is using MS-DOS compatibilitymode file system"
    How can I correct this,
I'm using win98 that came with the PC,
I'm also a bit of a computer dummyy!
    With thanks and hope,
    chewitt

    probably covers your problem.
Check it out and follow the link to the 'CD-ROM Drives Requiring Real-Mode Drivers' article and see if your drive is listed.
If you are still unsure what to do, I trust we can walk you through it.

    Re: CD Drive

My PC has a ATAPI 36x CD, there is no CD Rom listed on my system properties device manager and I can make head nor tail of Q151634.... I did say I was a bit of a computer dummy.
I hope Leif or anyone else can slowly guide me through this prob.
    Thanks
