    Domain Name Monitoring

I am trying to secure a particular (.co.uk) domain name.

Despite informing the UK body charged with administering domains that this one was registered to a Company which hasn't been trading for many years, and thereby prompting them to investigate, they are unwilling to let me know when the domain becomes available again.

They imply that some ISP's offer a monitoring service for domains, presumably letting you know when the one you want is available. But guess what, they won't tell me which ones!

Has anyone any experience of this, and can point me at a reliable monitoring service I can use to keep tabs on this?

    Thanks

    Neil

    Re: Domain Name Monitoring

Have you tried sticking domain name monitoring into Google, for I am sure that this would prove fruitful!

Try the whois service mentioned in Mark's <post#=436593>post 436593</post#>.

That should give you the expiry date of the domain, contact details, etc.
