What software are you using to burn the CD? Using Roxio Easy CD Creator, it's as simple as selecting "Disk Copier". This makes an exact copy. I'm not familiar with Nero, but I'm sure it has the same capability.

You can configure it as the Slave on the primary IDE channel, but ideally, it should be set up as the Master on the secondary channel. As for reading the directions, I would recommend that you spend a little time getting to know Nero. Many of the Lounge's advanced users express a preference for Nero over Roxio, and if you already have it, why spend the additional <img src=/S/money.gif border=0 alt=money width=17 height=15> ?

What is it about the directions that intimidates you. You can use the Nero Wizard to walk you through the copy. Open Nero Burning ROM and if you are not offered a Wizard when the program starts, click on File>New and you should get either the Nero Wizard or the New Compilation screen. If you get the wizard, just follow the prompts. If you get the New Compilation window, just click on the button that says Wizard to start the wizard.

If you're copying to a CD-RW as you say, then you don't need to worry about wasting them. If it doesn't work just erase it and try again. If you were copying to a CD-R then the possibility of spoiling it would be worth worrying about.
