Set Browser Default (IE 6 SP1)

I have set IE to check to see if it's the default browser, but it doesn't. It's been like this for about a week. Mozilla Firefox always appears when I go to the web. I switch back and forth when the occasion calls for it. What could be the problem.

All help will be sincerly appreciated.

What is in you 'Set Programs Access and Defaults'? You can access through the Start Menu or Control Panel.

Bingo!!! In Non-Microsoft: Web browser: Mozilla Firefox Enable access: Mozilla Firefox Remove access: Internet Explorer.

I clicked on Custom and fixed that problem. But, if I change browser preferences again, I have to go back and change things again????

Yeah, that's the whole point of setting the preferences. You are supposed to go change them when you want.
