    How To (2000)

In a query, I have a field called Product.
The field has 5 different products - POS Select, PPO Blue, ClassicBlue-Indemnity, Comprehensive, Signature 65 Hospital.
I want to change the names to SOS, PPO,Trad, CCM,SIg 65 respectively.
I want a new field in the query (based on the Products field) but change the names.
Would this be a nested IIF and if so how would I do it?

Create a table with two fields one for the old name and one for the new name.
In the query, use a DLookup function to find the corresponding name.

    Re: How To (2000)

    Create a "translation table":

    <table border=1><td align=center>Product</td><td align=center>Abbreviation</td><td>POS Select</td><td>SOS</td><td>PPO Blue</td><td>PPO</td><td>ClassicBlue-Indemnity</td><td>Trad</td><td>Comprehensive</td><td>CCM</td><td>Signature 65 Hospital</td><td>Sig 65</td></table>
Add this table to your query, linked to the table that was already present on the Product field.
Add the Abbreviation field to the query grid.
