Intercepting meeting requests (Outlook 2002 SP-2)

Hello, all. Does anyone know of a way to intercept meeting requests, so that they don't appear on your calendar until AFTER you've accepted them?

I'm kind of doubtful, myself, as this would be subverting a basic feature of Outlook. But I've been asked to look into it for one of our managers.

I've googled, checked out Outlook's options and the VBA object model, but haven't found anything helpful.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer!

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Bob

I haven't found a way, Bob. You could point out to the user that this is Microsoft's attempt to be helpful, in that unprocessed invitations show in the Calendar as Tentative, so that users can prioritize their Acceptances, Declines, and Tentative Acceptances when they have overlapping meetings and invitations.

    John,

Thanks for the suggestion. We've pointed out the benefits of automatic calendaring to this user, to no avail. He is an attorney and a partner, and is used to getting his own way...
