    reading pane view (2003 SP1)

Suddenly the Reading Pane view in the Drafts folder of my outlook is grayed out and I am not allowed to choose it. However, it is there and is in use in all the other folders. I "used" to have the Reading Pane view in drafts too, but for some reason it just disappeared. I have searched MS and this board but not found an answer. I have also checked to match up all the settings of the Drafts folder with the other folders in which the Reading Pane view IS an option, and I in fact I use it.

Any ideas about what I'm missing?

Re: reading pane view (2003 SP1)

The reading pane is not available in the drafts folder.

This information was found in the Outlook help file. I searched for "Reading Pane" and found this in the section "Change how the Reading Pane looks and works". This was in the online help file, the offline help file did not mention it in the equivalent section.

Re: reading pane view (2003 SP1)

Interesting. It must have been Office 2000, which I had on this machine right before this, in which I had a reading pane in the Drafts folder.

    Thanks for your help.
