    Teach Yourself Visual Basic...

    Good evening -

Teach Yourself Visual Basic for Applications in 21 Days (Sams, 1994) was highly to me. Tho out of print,I finally was able to locate a copy but it seems geared toward Excel.

I am interested in creating macros in Word. Does what the author teach apply to Word as well? Should I keep the book?

    Thanks for all thoughts, ACM

The biggest difference is going to be in the object model. For example, Worksheets don't exist in Word, and Paragraphs don't exist in Excel. You will also find some minor differences in the language itself (the programmers don't always seem to talk to each other), but mostly the language reference is the same.

I have found very few VBA resources for Word. In fact, this forum is about the best and most reliable that I have found.
