    File size (2003)

I have a workbook that the file size is 20.0 MB, it has 28 sheets. Mostly all the sheets' ranges are close to A1:W55. When I press Control+End the active cell is W9754, why is this? How can I change this? I have tried selecting rows 56-65536 and clear contents & delete, and still the same.

    Thanks,
    Jackal

In the thread starting at <post#=133048>post 133048</post#>, you will find some ideas. The simplest is probably to save as HTML, close, open the HTML file and save as .XLS. Make sure to make a backup copy first!

    Re: File size (2003)

It's my experience with Excel 2000, that simply clearing the cell contents doesn't work - there is still some remnant that includes such blank cells in the used range. However, actually deleting the blank rows that are included at the end of the used range does work.
