    Simple query help (2000)

Firstly I must apologise for asking this, but I have forgotten what to do!!!!! <img src=/S/brainwash.gif border=0 alt=brainwash width=15 height=15>

I have a query based on three tables.TblMain. TblClient.TblPolicy. TblMain holds the ClientID,PolicyID and other data specific to TblMain.
I want to filter on ClientID(PK) from TblClient.

I have a form, FrmReport, with CboClient in. CboClient obtains its data from TblClient> ClientID(hidden),Surname, Forename.

I want to limit a report based on what is selected in CboClient.

I've selected ClientID from TblClient in the query. Criteria beneath equaling [Forms]![FrmReport]![CboClient], but this isn't working..........hmmm

The query will only work correctly if (a) FrmReport is open and ([img]/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif[/img] a client has been selected in CboClient. If it doesn't, what is wrong? Do you get an error message, or unexpected results, or no results?

It prompts you for a parameter value. Can't work out why!

    Re: Simple query help (2000)

If the query prompts you for a parameter value, the cause can be:
    - The form is not open.
    - FrmReport is a subform of another form.
    - Either FrmReport or CboClient is misspelled.
    - You have declared the parameter in Query | Parameters..., but the name there doesn't match the one in Criteria exactly.
