DB display help, trimming a date (FP 2002)

    Hello,

Can anyone please tell me if this is possible in FP and if so what method they would use to do so.

I have a DB that has emploee names etc. In this DB are included birthdates with the correct day and month but the year they were born is changed to the current year so as not to give away their actual age. I need to display this data on my frontpage web and can do so without issue. However, I need to remove the year of their bday so it fdoes not display 2005. For example I need 1/27 as opposed to 1/27/2005 which is what displays now. Is there a way to trim the year off of the date displayed??? Any help greatly appreciated!

What is your database kept in? I would create the trimmed field there.

I am using a simple access database and am not really sure how to trim things in there? Do you have an example or suggestion you would be willing to share? Thanks either way. I am running a query to get all records with Birthdays in the current month. Can I update this data in the query?

So this really is an Access question <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>... however I'll keep it here for a moment.
In your query design view, right click on the date field in the QBE qrid (lower half of the query window). Choose Properties and set the format as you see in the screen shot.
If you don't want the 3 character month abbreviation - just use 2 m's; like this:
    dd/mm
