    Nero 6 & Win2K

I just got an ad for Nero 6... And they say it'll back up NTFS drives... At discount, for $69, it's cheap enough (comparatively...

Is there any idea or person that's used or tried Nero as a back-up solution that can shed some light...?

    Regards,

Sorry, I can't answer your question Chuck, but I have a question for you in return. I saw in other threads that you've apparently had problems with Ghost, so I understand why you might be "in the market" for another backup tool. Someone will probably jump in with the answer you're looking for on Nero, but have you considered Acronis TrueImage for backup? Even at its regular price ($49) it's less expensive than Nero and is specifically designed for backup, including the NTFS file system. Just in case, here is the link: Online system disk backup, disk imaging

I do not use Nero, but do use Roxio 6 and it works well with my NTFS hard drives and I am running XP. I use it to made readable CDs and DVDs of folders that I like to backup and or copy OFF my machine(s).

But as Al stated, True Image is the tool for a complet hard drive back up.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

You might also want to take a look at BackUp My PC from Stomp Software. It's $69 for the download, so there's no price advantage, but it's a solid, versitile, well tested backup alternative that's just for backup.
