    How does it compare with <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=free&Number=11049&page=&vie w=&sb=&vc=1>Atomica</A>?
This works on any word in any application.

Both excellent, if US biased. One uses the Merriam-Webster Collegiate, the other is Houghton-Mifflin based. I installed both. Atomica is available from the desktop and/or systray, and can be reduced to a minute arrow until needed; My Dictionary adds to the IE Linksbar and is javascript based. Not as visual as Atomica.
If you think they're very much alike, try 'tapioca','sago' and 'semolina'

Now all I need is one that works with English English, or is that British English. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Well, if you don't *mind* it being based upon the 1913 version - try

    <A target="_blank" HREF=http://humanities.uchicago.edu/forms_unrest/webster.form.html>ARTFL Webster Search</A> or

    <A target="_blank" HREF=http://work.ucsd.edu:5141/cgi-bin/http_webster>Hypertext Webster Gateway at UCSD</A> or

Thanks for those. I wonder why they stop at the 1913 edtion? Must be something to do with copyright restrictions.
