    Auto-Play (Powerpoint 2003)

Do you know how to get a Powerpoint presentation to auto-play? (without right-clicking the file and selecting play)

In Powerpoint 2003 creating an autorun CD is easy.

Select "File>Package for CD" and you can then burn the presentation direct to CD. It will include the Powerpoint viewer and you can select autorun options by clicking the Options button.

If you just need the file to open in Show mode, you can Save As and choose PowerPoint Show (*.PPS) or rename the PPT extension to PPS in a Windows Explorer window. http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00185.htm

Note that this won't protect the file at all, which is a common misconception. http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00038.htm
