    One document, 2 different margin set (Word 2002)

    For my work I need to print most documents with 2 different margin settings:
    1 time: top 6, bottom 3, left 4, right 3, and
    1 time: top 8,5, bottom 0,5, left 6, right 1
    and after that back to 6, 3, 4, 3.

    Is there an easier way (automatic) instead of change these settings every time over and over again?
    Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

    You could use a macro for this. We can help you with that, but it would be useful to know if your documents consist of a single section, or of multiple sections. If the latter, do they all have the same margins?

    Hi Hans, thankyou for your reply. I don't know what you mean with single of multiple sections, but all of these document have the same margins.
    These documents (deeds) need to be printed one time on legal paper, and one time on special papier for land registration.
    Hope you have a solution for me.

    Does that mean that not only the margins, but also the paper size setting will have to be changed? Or is the special paper also legal size, but with different margins required?

    With legal paper, I meant notary paper. We only use A4 size paper (in the Netherlands). So only the margins of the text are different.

    You can copy the following macro to a standard module, and run it to change the margins and print the document. If you like, you can assign the macro to a custom toolbar button and/or keyboard shortcut using Tools | Customize...

    Sub PrintTwice()
    With ActiveDocument.PageSetup
    .TopMargin = CentimetersToPoints(6)
    .LeftMargin = CentimetersToPoints(4)
    .BottomMargin = CentimetersToPoints(3)
    .RightMargin = CentimetersToPoints(3)
    End With
    ActiveDocument.PrintOut
    With ActiveDocument.PageSetup
    .TopMargin = CentimetersToPoints(8.5)
    .LeftMargin = CentimetersToPoints(6)
    .BottomMargin = CentimetersToPoints(0.5)
    .RightMargin = CentimetersToPoints(1)
    End With
    ActiveDocument.PrintOut
    With ActiveDocument.PageSetup
    .TopMargin = CentimetersToPoints(6)
    .LeftMargin = CentimetersToPoints(4)
    .BottomMargin = CentimetersToPoints(3)
    .RightMargin = CentimetersToPoints(3)
    End With
    End Sub

    Thanks Hans,
    I'll try a.s.a.p. and let you know if it works for me.

    Re: One document, 2 different margin set (Word 2002)

    From the above macro I used the second en third part of it, and it works exactly what I needed. Thankyou.
    However..... I forgot to mention that there is also a header (Dutch = koptekst), set in doc. 1 at 4,5 cm which should be in doc. 2 set at 7 cm.
    I guess I need one more extra line in the above macro. Does anyone would like to help me on this one, please?

    Mary-Jane.

    Below the line(s) With ActiveDocument.PageSetup, insert a new line

    .HeaderDistance = CentimetersToPoints(4.5)

    to set the header at 4.5 centimers from the top edge. Use a similar line with 7 instead of 4.5 to set the header at 7 centimeters from the top edge.
