Excel Conditional Sum Wizard (Excel 2000 >)

I discovered that this wizard does not give a result when more than one condition is given. See the attached file for an example. Cell E5 is the conditional sum that the wizard inputted, where cell E7 is my edit on the formula to make it work! Is this an error on the wizards part, or have I erred on my part. It could be a useful feature to recommend to people who struggle with building conditional sums or using array functions; but I hesitate to recommend it if it has flaws???

Has anyone come across any bugs here?
    Regards,
    Rudi

Re: Excel Conditional Sum Wizard (Excel 2000 >)

What you want is to sum the price for rows where the condition A OR condition B holds (OR in the mathematical sense). The Conditional Sum wizard only handles sums where condition A AND condition B hold. You could use this if you had more columns, for example sum the prices where Product=Milk AND Supplier=MyCompany.

So it is not a bug in the conditional sum wizard: the behavior is as intended. But the wizard is extremely limited, since it offers only AND, not OR.

Thanx. This clears it up. I was not critisizing the wizard...I just did not realize it could not do OR conditions.
