    printer problem

    Hi,
    I have a 2000 machine, that cannot print ot a ntework printer when user is signed onto the local machine. I am able to print to it from the network logon on this machine, and from the administrators account??????
    Any ideas.

    You're not authenticated on the network, which is why you cannot print when logging in locally. You will need to map a share to the printer:<pre>NET USE computerprinter_name</pre>

    If you want to establish your network credentials with a server then the best syntax to use is...

    NET USE serverIPC$ /user:domainusername

    Replace server with the name of the server that is attached to the printer. Replace domain and username with your real domain and username. This will prompt you for your network password and then you will be able to use resources on that server.
