    Windows XP (XP SP2)

I have just tried to use the facility, change/add windows components in Set defaults and receive the following message:
    unable to open information
    File start0c.inf.

    0 x 2 line 2088999411
Can I please have a help with this message. I do not know when this problem occurred so am unable to use Sytem restore as I dont know the restore point.

Are you sure it is not sysoc.inf? If so, you can copy from c:windowsservicepackfilesi386sysoc.inf to c:windowsinf.

Try looking in the same folder I mentioned for startoc.inf. If you find it copy it to the other folder.
