Project/Access Link (Proj 98 / Access 97)
While on our organisation's helpdesk, I have been posed the following problem, but it is beyond my experience.
Can anybody out there help??
am a responsible in my day-to-day work of arranging the allocation of translation for the Legal Translation Unit within OCG and use Project as a log to undertake this. The details are then put on an Access database which the translators complete for statistical purposes. I was wondering if there is a way of connecting both applications as to make the process less disjointed and so information is not duplicated.

Re: Project/Access Link (Proj 98 / Access 97)
There is no way to directly link the systems. (At least none that I know of)
However, in access, you can automate project to save itself as a project database or access database which you can then import the project tables and data into access. Queries could then be used to manipulate the data. The process requires VB programming and an understanding of the Project Database tables and fields.
What fields / data in project is being stored?
(It's been a while!)
