    Dr Watson (XP-2)

    I have a problem... Every time a program crashes Dr. Watson kicks in and hangs.... I think that there is something wrong with Dr Watson because I can kill it in the system tray and everything works ok again...... Is there a way to fix or disable Dr Watson..... sometimes Dr Watson seem to start with nothing running......HELP

    You can disable Dr. Watson by changing the registry, if you are comfortable doing that.

    Dr. Watson can be disabled using the registry editor:

    Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)
    Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionAeDebug
    Click on AeDebug and click Del
    Alternativly just set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionAeDebugAUTO to 0

    To re-enable Dr. Watson type drwtsn32 -i
