Override Switchboard on opening file (xp)

I have been working on a database recently that opens to a switchboard. I have been accessing the database window by pressing the shift key when opening the file. For whatever reason, this no longer works and I only get the switchboard and I am unable to work on the underlying tables etc.
Any ideas?

Can you open the database window (after opening the database) by pressing F11?

If not, have you been playing with the AllowBypassKey property (cf <post#=181926>post 181926</post#>)? If so, and if you haven't left open a back door, you can't get into the database window any more. Create a new blank database, and import everything from your database into it.

Thanks for the response, Hans.

<Can you open the database window (after opening the database) by pressing F11?. No

< Create a new blank database, and import everything from your database into it.> I have done that, successfully. I made sure that nothing was set in the StartUp option. On opening, I'm back at the Switchboard. Tried F11 - Nothing!

Does anything else spring to mind? I do hope so.

What if you import all the objects but not the switchboard form ?

Do you have an AutoExec macro?
If so, create a blank database again, and import everything EXCEPT for the AutoExec macro.
If you haven't set startup options and don't have an AutoExec macro, the switchboard should not be opened.

Thanks Francois and Hans. I followed Francois' suggestion and I can now get to the data. I'll recreate the switchboard later. I imported all Macros from the original which did not include an Autoexec. Still, I can now make modifications. Thanks again.

I'm glad Francois' suggestion worked for you, but I am puzzled how the Switchboard can start automatically if there is no AutoExec macro and no startup options have been set.

The switchboard form may have been setup as the startup form.

But Bandido wrote

I made sure that nothing was set in the StartUp option. On opening, I'm back at the Switchboard.

And since there was no AutoExec macro either, I don't understand what caused the Switchboard to open automatically.
