volume control properties (Windows XP Sp1)

Have a client using TV input on his computer. Everytime he turns on the TV input he must un-mute the line-in control. It will not remain on when he turns off TV. This would not be problem for most people but he is disabled and cannot use mouse or keyboard. The Dragon software does many things for him but he must have a non-handicapped person do much for him. Does anyone know how to make the line-in stay in the un-muted mode permanently?

    Thanks,
    apapkin

How is the setting being un-muted? By double-clicking the volume control on the taskbar?

What soundcard? And have you got the latest drivers for the soundcard? - Googling for an answer seems to point to that being a possibility.

    Leif:

Each time the tv is started on the computer line-in is muted. The user must go to the volume control and un-mute.

Not sure about the drivers. I'll check next time I go over.
