    On exit problem (MS Acess 2000)

    Hi

    I have a form with a button that opens another form where I perform some calculations, once I have performed these calculations I would like to leave the form and have 2 fields on form 1 filled with the results from 2 of the boxes on form 2.

    On form 2 I have added a close button which returns me to form 1 but I am about lost about updating the fields in form 1 from form 2 I have messed around a little with the on exit commands to try and get them to update the required fields in form 1 but cannot seem to get it to work.

    Could anybody help me please

    Thank you

    Pauline

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

    You can use the On Click code of the close button on form2:

    Private Sub cmdClose_Click()
    Forms!Form1!TextBox1 = Me.TextBox1
    Forms!Form1!TextBox2 = Me.TextBox2
    DoCmd.Close
    End Sub

    Of course, you must substitute the appropriate names.

    Thank you soooo much

    why can't the MS help files be as specific.

    I have been lurking here for ages and I would like to suggest a HansV add in to Access a 'Hans, help me now please' button

    Thanks again

    Pauline
