    The Desktop

I feel a bit silly asking this but it has been annoying me for ages!

Think of the standard icons you get on the desktop i.e. My Computer, recycle bin etc. Now when I select a different style wallpaper the BACKGROUND OF THE TEXT of the icon remains the same colour. Now I'm sure there is an option somewhere to make the background of the text TRANSPARENT! So when the background is changed, the text is readable and that is all you see. I hope you are still with me!

I thought the option to change this was in Display Properties|Appearance. But I can't find it!

Does anyone know the answer? I am using Win ME!

    Cheers,

    sswan.

Thank you very much for your reply. Transparent does the job fine! Great, that is a little niggle out of the way!
