    Win2000/Word97

I've been given a laptop with Windows 2000. We are still using Word 97. Copied my normal.dot to the new PC and my Word macros are not recognizing the directories/folders (i.e. H:NievesriCases Open). Is there something I should know about? Any help is appreciated!

Try opening Word, then check on the file locations (Tools, Options, File Locations). It sounds as if neither the "User Tempplates" nor the "Workgroup Templates" path is set to your new location.

    Buene suerte amigo!

As I understand, your macros are executing, but somehow not recognizing folders. Since your example was from a drive named "H", might I assume that this is a network drive? Is your laptop connected to the network? If so, have you tried using universal naming conventions (UNC)?
