For your 2nd question:

Right click on the taskbar and de-select "Lock the Taskbar"
Now right-click on an empty part of the quick launch toolbar and select "View>Large Icons", and finally re-lock the taskbar.

Go to Control Panel, Network Connections, Open. Then select the connection and then properties. You will need to the the check mark in the box about show icon in NA.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

(Edited by acerfmayer on 14-Feb-05 14:04. )
Dave -

Thank you for answering. It's taken me this long to thank you because I have been trying to set this up correctly: I went to Control Panel/Network Connections and in Local Area connection did selct to show icon in NA. Rebooted, went online, no icon to indicate I was online.

When I AM online, the icon for Local Area Connection indicates a 'network cable is unplugged.' Well, yes, because I don't have cable, I dial-up.

Where am I going wrong? I use AOL 9. Does this affect anything?

    Thanks again,

My error, I thought you were wanting the Network connection icon as in using cable or DSL.

Go to the Control Panel, Network connection and then select the dial up connection. In the connection pane select the "Propertied? button,, on the General tab, make sure that there is a check mark in the "Show icon ......" box in the kower right couner.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
