Multiple copies of Word (Win2k/Word2003)

Hi folks, sorry for what I'm sure is a repeat post but I am having my usual luck with finding search terms to return what I'm looking for (here, anyway - I don't usually have any problem with Google!).

We're just starting in on our conversion to 2003 and I've got the wonderful job of testing the templates to see if they work okay, but I'm being hampered by this stupid idea of opening a separate copy of Word for each document opened/created.

I'm sure someone posted how to stop this happening but as I said, I can't find it now and I can't remember what it was!

Someone please take pity and either point me to the original answer or tell me again!

Many thanks
Beryl M

Hi Beryl

The option you are looking for is Tools>Options, on the View tab de-select "Windows in Taskbar"

So it is - and so obviously named, too - can't think how I came to miss that that's what it meant ...

!!
