Default Font Now Ignored (Outlook XP SP1)

    Hi all,

I know there have been posts about this with no clear conclusion.

My husband uses HTML as his email format. He has Verdana as his default font in email and in IE6. He recently created a signature (also using Verdana) and suddenly all his emails are formatted in Times New Roman. He deleted the signatures and his emails are still in TNR. It looks to me as if creating the signature may have caused this little. Unfortunately, it seems to have set something that can't be unset by deleting the signatures.

Is there any setting or registry entry that I can edit/delete regarding the signature that might keep Outlook from overlooking his default fonts?

    Thanks,
    Kim

Stop the presses! I may have resolved this...

I changed the default to Times New Roman. I sent an email, noting that the font displayed in the email was the same as in the received email.

Then I rebooted and changed the font back to Verdana. Hey! It worked!

    I am advising him not to create a signature again, but I think it's fixed. <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>
