    Wrapping Text in Merged Cells (2002/SP3)

    I have merged 8 cells and formatted the resulting cell to wrap text however all of the text entered into the cell is not viewable.

    In the first place, although a cell can contain up to 32,767 characters, only the first 1,024 are displayed in the cell itself. All character will be displayed in the formula bar when the cell is selected.

    In the second place, Excel does not always adjust the height of a cell with text wrapping on correctly, especially if the cell is merged. Try increasing the height of the cell manually.

    Note: You still have the 1024 limit Hans mentioned and the row height is (excel) limited to 409.
