    Formattin in Columns (word 2k)

I have converted an access report to a word doc, it's a roster of about 500 names and then selected all the text and formatted it to 2 columns (or tried to!) and the horizontal ruler shows the two columns, but my text is staying in one long column. I've spent the last hour trying to figure this out with no luck. Any ideas what's happening here?

Could you post a small sample document (just a few pages, names altered to protect the guilty)?

Okay, here you go. This is a portion of the document (without the header) as it was imported from Access.

There is a hard page break at the end of each page; this prevents the text from being displayed in two columns. You can remove the page breaks as follows:
    - Select Edit | Replace or press Ctrl+H.
    - Enter [code]^m[/b] in the Find What box (this is the "code" for a hard page break)
    - Leave the Replace With box blank.
    - Click Replace All.
You should now be able to have two columns.
