Viewer - Custom Animations Not Displayed (2003)

I have created a presentation in PowerPoint 2003 and will need to show it on computers that run Office 2000 on WindowsXP. I downloaded the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer and ran the presentation on the WinXP/Office 2000 machine and nonel of my triggers will run! I am pretty desperate for an answer on this one and would appreciate any expertise. Anyone have any experience with this?

Re: Viewer - Custom Animations Not Displayed (2003

I had this same problem this morning! I painstakingly created a PPT in PowerPoint 2003 to run in a local retirement home. They use WinXP/Office 2000. My automated GIFs work but NONE of the custom animations works, graphics that should appear and disappear with bulleted items just sit in the middle of the screen, and, worst of all, the music files that I inserted to capture folks attention DO NOT PLAY!.

Very frustrating! I also used "Package for CD", burned the CD that includes the PowerPoint viewer, embedded the fonts, everything I could think of.

Any help will certainly be appreciated. I understood that Package for CD would show the created PPT even on computers that didn't have PowerPoint installed.
