Invalid dydamic link call

I am trying to get Netmeeting to work again. I had installed a MS video cam and Eyeball chat. Since then MS Netmeeting gives me a "your program is making an invalid dynamic link call to a .dll file." I have uninstalled and installed it twice. It looks like it is going to work, then at the very end fails.

Any help?

Are you getting a BSOD (blue screen of death) or a pop-up message box with the error? Is it saying anything about .vxd files as being the culprit? Are you using W98 or W98 SE? Have you recently re-loaded your OS?

>>just the popup error msg with a white background. Windows works fine after that (but I still reboot anyway).

Is it saying anything about .vxd files as being the culprit?
>>no, just the .dll

>>using W98SE. No I haven't re-loaded the OS in awhile.

Re: Invalid dydamic link call

Hmm..you might want to check out a sight called http://www.pcnineoneone.com It's a great source for information.

The reason for the 20 questions is that recently I started getting error messages with W98 SE about .vxd file errors. I didn't even know what a .vxd file was prior to the first error message. Apparently Billy and the boys up in Redmond compressed 6 (I think that's how many there are) .vxd files into 1 file that loads incorrectly which causes major problems. There's a fix for this posted on the above referenced web page. As for what you're experiencing, there might be something on there about that too.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Can you tell me that link is for that fix? I can't seem to find it on their sight. Besides that, you have to make a donation to their work for any help.

I don't know about the donation requirement, I used the site several times and haven't had to make a donation. Anyway, the link for the .vxd fix is

Got it. Thanks. However that "fix" page refers to .VXD's and not .dll's which is my problem and only with MS Netmeeting.
