    Restore files

I find that I have gigabytes of disk space used by _restore files, as well as by service pack (XP 2 presumably) uninstall files. When I defragment my drive, some of these files have two and three hundred fragments. Is it OK to delete these files once I know that I intend to keep the service pack, or will not want to restore up to a certain point? Is there a procedure for doing this, or just select and delete?

    Thanks,
    Richard Barrett

Restore points and files can be deleted (I believe) by switching off system Restore, rebooting, then turning it back on again.
Otherwise, the info in this XP thread may give you some ideas.
