Create Dummy Field in Query (2000)

    Hi,
I have a query in which I'd like to create a dummy field, but I'm not sure how to do this. The reason I'd like to do this is I'm going to create a union query with another query that has 2 extra fields so I need to create 2 dummy fields in my first query. One is a text field and the other is a date field, if that matters.
    Thanks,
    Deb

In an empty column of the query design grid, enter

    FieldName: Null

where FieldName is the name you would like the dummy field to have. The dummy field will be blank. If you want it to have a value, use that instead of Null, for example:

    FieldName: "anything"
    or
    FieldName: #1/1/2000#

    Thanks Hans,
That did it. You're the greatest.
