    error message (Access)

I want to create a 1 to 1 relationship. So I was connecting the LearnerID to the LearnerDeptID. I got the message"
"Invalid field definition "LearnerDeptID" in definition of index or relationship."

LearnerID is a text field that incremets the number based on data from another field.
LearnerDeptID is an AutoNumber. Is the AutoNumber an illegal field datatype when creating a relationship such as this?

A relationship has to be between fields of the same type, at least if you want to enforce referential integrity.

Why do you want to create a one-to-one relationship? There are very few situations in which you really need them, and they're not easy to work with, so you should avoid them if possible.
