    Birthdays in outlook (xp/2k3)

    Hi

At our office we would like to place everyones birthday into the calendar. Is there a way to create a template or addin that can be sent to all of the employees so that their birthdates appear in their calendar (like holidays)?

    thanks
    Ivan

In Outlook 2003, simply adding a birthday to the Details tab of a Contact record will cause a reminder to appear on the calendar. However, if people are in the habit of forwarding their own contact record as a vCard, they might prefer not to have this information in there.

Another possibility might be to create a birthday event for a fictitious person with a date of March 1, 2005, with the appropriate recurrence settings, and circulate a copy of that to everyone asking them to edit it and save it for themselves. I haven't actually tried that...

IF I am understanding your question correctly, this form can be modified for your use. I use it at the beginning of each year to put all the company holidays on to everyone's calendar.
