    field sperator (vba)

    Hello,

    (referencing to my previous question)
    is it possible to set the field separator in this case should it be a "; " instead of a ", " with a vba coded macro and back again ?
    How do I manage if so?

    Thanks,
    jan

    I assume you mean <post#=454956>post 454956</post#>.

    It is possible to set the list separator using Windows API functions; you may also have to set the decimal and thousands separators at the same time to avoid confusion. But I don't think it's a good idea to mess with such settings in a multi-tasking system.

    For what it's worth, I have attached code to get and set the list separator. Example use:

    Dim strOldSeparator As String
    strOldSeparator = GetListSeparator
    SetListSeparator ";"
    ...
    SetListSeparator strOldSeparator
