    General Knowledge Quickies

Work your way through these without googling and you just might be the next contestant on Jeopardy. Or not.

    Hans solved #5 correctly. Very nice - <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #FFFF00; font-weight: bold">French airports</span hide>

    Re: General Knowledge Quickies

#1 and #6 are both correctly solved. I thought #1 would take a bit longer. Impressive!

    Re: General Knowledge Quickies

#2, #3 and #7 are also solved correctly by Hans. I have to admit, I didn't think you would get #2...

    Nicely done. <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>

    Re: General Knowledge Quickies

    4) This one took me a while since I have a different setting. <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #FFFF00; font-weight: bold">The standard height (in points) and width (in characters) of a cell in an Excel worksheet if Arial 10 is the default font.</span hide>

Not the slightest idea about #8.

    Re: General Knowledge Quickies

Hans has solved #4 correctly... <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #FFFF00; font-weight: bold">It is the default cell size in the US version of Excel / Honestly, I assumed it would be the same everywhere. Is the pixel measurement of 17X64 a more common standard regardless of language/version?</span hide>

As far as #8 is concerned, <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #FFFF00; font-weight: bold">I'd encourage you to look at the entire list carefully before giving up!</span hide>

    Re: General Knowledge Quickies

    Hey Rob. Good to hear from you. And now we can put #8 to rest. <img src=/S/bullseye.gif border=0 alt=bullseye width=45 height=15> <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>
I'm a little suprised that each element of the puzzle was solved and no one commented on the unique numbering system...
