Lost menu bar (Excel 2000)

Subject edited by HansV to be more descriptive than 'Excel'

I have lost my menu bar at the top of screen in excel. How can this be restored?

Press Alt+F11 to activate the Visual Basic Editor.
Press Ctrl+G to activate the Immediate window.
Type CommandBars("Worksheet Menu Bar").Visible = True and press Enter.
Type CommandBars("Worksheet Menu Bar").Position = msoBarTop and press Enter.
Switch back to Excel to see if the menu bar is restored.

You could right click in the toolbar area and select Customize.
Go to the toolbars tab and check Worksheet Menu Bar. If it is already checked the menu bar is probably on one or the four edges of the screen. Sometimes it will get hidden below the task bar, try clicking the restore button in the upper left of the screen and move the window around to see if it is hiding behind the window.

Hi Hans,

CommandBars("Worksheet Menu Bar").Visible = True

I think the worksheet menubar doesn't respond to its visible property, you must use the enabled property:
CommandBars("Worksheet Menu Bar").Enabled = True.

I use this little workbook to reenable my toolbars and menubars.
