    Error Message (2000)

    Why can't Access speak English when giving errors messages? <img src=/S/bash.gif border=0 alt=bash width=35 height=39>

When I add a subform (continuous form) into my main form (justified) and then begin entering data, an error message immediately pops up when I type in the first character:

    Microsoft Access
The LinkMasterFields property setting has produced this error: 'The object doesn't contain the Automation object "tblPropertyInfo."

I think the error has to do with some renaming of tables grrr... I should never have changed them!!!

First thing to check: Open the main form in design view and select the subform control on the main form (not the same thing as selecting the subform, as you probably know). One of the properties of the main form's subform control is "Link Master Fields." I'd check to make sure it reflects the renaming that you did.

I don't understand. How do you select the subform control on the main form. I don't see that anywhere. I got it in design view and selected and went to properties of the main form. I clicked on all and I don't see "Link Master Fields." What do you mean "subform control" I don't see that anywhere either?

You select a subform control by clicking one time on the subform.

Ok I got you, I checked it and it looks good to me. Yet I still get the error message. <img src=/S/crybaby.gif border=0 alt=crybaby width=15 height=15>

Have you tried to rebuild the link by clicking on the dots besides the link fields (see attachment)
If this don't work, can you attach a copy of your db so we can have a look at it.
See <!profile=HansV>HansV<!/profile>'s <post#=401925>post 401925</post#> for instructions how to get the db under the 100k.
