Access - references (Win XP Access 2003)

What is the purpose of BrowsePanes 1.0. It is installed in my PC, but not available in another where I use several data bases. So far, I have noticed no difference. How do I install the BrowsePanes in the other PC?

What is BrowsePanes? Google has never heard of it, and "browse panes" in combination with Access doesn't yield anything relevant either.

From the Code icon on the tool bar, then Tools, References - there is an entry here for BrowsePanes 1.0 Type Library.

I have Access 2002, not 2003, and BrowsePanes is not in my list of available references. I doubt that it is a necessary component, but perhaps someone with Access 2003 can shed more light on this.

I have Access 2003 but no BrowsePanes in the References. Never heard of it.

Do you actually have the reference checked? If not, then you don't need it on the other machines. If you do have it checked, what are you using it for? A wide variety of programs install libraries on your system, but that doesn't mean that you can or should use them in Access.

The secondary PC's have the reference checked, but the Tools, Reference window shows checked, but with a note in front of the name saying (falta) in Spanish, which means missing. My PC has it checked, and everything works fine.

The address at the bottom of the Reference window is C:Program FilesCommon FilesRoxio SharedSharedCOMAPS.

Today I unchecked all of the PC's with the (falta) note. So far, I have noticed nothing different. Would this mean that it is only used for Roxio? I did some back-ups with Rocio on my main PC, and it worked fine without the BrowsePanes.

I don't know where it came from nor what it is used for. It was not consciously installed.

It seems improbable that you would need something from Roxio in your database, so I'm fairly certain that you won't have problems after clearing the reference.
