    Combo box (Access 2000)

i have a combo box based on the table Students. My combo box is called CboStudents with the
names of them. There are two controls on my form,
namely Classroom and Classmate but they are not updated when i choose from the combo box.
What is the reason for that?

Do you want to search for a record when the user select an item from the combo box, or do you want to modify the value of Classroom and Classmate within the current record?

You can use the Combo Box wizard to create a combo box that will search for a specific record:

    - Make sure that the Control Wizards button on the Toolbox is on (down) (see screenshot)
    - Place a combo box on your form.
    - Select the third option (see screenshot), then click Next and follow the instructions.

If you use the combo box to search, it must be unbound. The easiest way to populate the Classroom and Classmate controls is to include the corresponding fields in the record source of the form.
