Open Excel Files in new window

I have recently got a new PC with Office 2000 loaded. On my previous machine (with Office 2000) Excel each excel file would open in a new window, but it does not do it on this machine.

I remember reading something in WOW late last year but cant find it and cant remember how to do this.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Open Excel Files in new window

Sorry if I am being pushy but I have not had any response to this question. I frequently have several workbooks open at the same time and find it annoying to keep selecting window and then the applicable workbook whereas I just use to click on the taskbar for the applicable workbook I wanted.

    TIA.

    Hi,
If you look under Tools-Options, the third checkbox in the first section of the View tab is 'Windows in Taskbar'. This should be checked.
Hope that helps? If not, please repost and I'm sure someone will have another solution!
