    Report / Page Header (2003)

    I have a rpt that does not print the 'Report Header' or 'Page Header'. The headers appear in the print preview, but do not print out. When I am in the preview window and I click setup and then Ok, the headers disappear. Can someone tell me what is going on and how to fix this.

    Thanks,
    Jackal

    Have you tried increasing the top page margin? Does that make a difference?
    What is the setting of the Page Header property of the report?

    Re: Report / Page Header (2003)

    I have adjusted both the top and bottom margins and both headers vanish. This report is one that you helped me with and the Page Header properties are as follows:
    Name: Paginakoptekstectie
    Visible: Yes
    Height: 0.4"
    Back Color: 16777215
    Soecial Eddect: Flat
    Tag:
    On Format: [Event Procedure]
    <pre>Private Sub Paginakoptekstsectie_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer)
    lngOldLeft = Me.Width
    End Sub</pre>

    On Print:

    Does the report in the demo I attached to <post#=449859>post 449859</post#> have this problem if you change the margins? It doesn't for me, the page header and report header remain visible.

    Re: Report / Page Header (2003)

    Sorry for the delay, yes this is dealing with that report. I have attached my sample db with my problems. If you look at rpt150Alliance, hit the setup button, don't make any changes, then 'Ok', the title is gone. Why does this happen? If you hit 'Cancel' in the setup window, title remains, but doesn't print. I tried again in rpt150Allaince3, still no luck. In rpt150Alliance2 the title stays, but the column headings are not acting the way they should. Can you please help me??

    thanks,
    Jackal

    Re: Report / Page Header (2003)

    In the report rpt150Alliance, in the On Format of the details section change the code to :
    <pre> Dim ctl As Control
    If Me.Left < lngOldLeft Then
    For Each ctl In Me.Controls
    ctl.Visible = (ctl.ControlType = acLabel)
    Debug.Print ctl.Name
    Me.NextRecord = False
    Next ctl
    Else
    For Each ctl In Me.Details.Controls
    ctl.Visible = (ctl.ControlType <> acLabel)
    Next ctl
    End If
    lngOldLeft = Me.Left</pre>

    Re: Report / Page Header (2003)

    You have to put Details also in the first loop to have the page footer :
    <pre> Dim ctl As Control
    If Me.Left < lngOldLeft Then
    For Each ctl In Me.Details.Controls
    ctl.Visible = (ctl.ControlType = acLabel)
    Debug.Print ctl.Name
    Me.NextRecord = False
    Next ctl
    Else
    For Each ctl In Me.Details.Controls
    ctl.Visible = (ctl.ControlType <> acLabel)
    Next ctl
    End If
    lngOldLeft = Me.Left</pre>
